Berkshire’s Best Loved Firework Shops

If you’re looking for quality cheap fireworks in Berkshire, our Reading and Slough firework suppliers are here to serve you. The Firework Factory also advises and works with companies who put on annual fireworks displays in Berkshire.

We have many tips and tricks we’ve picked up over our 15 year trading history, and we are also familiar with official governmental advice on how to put on a safe and successful display. So below we have compiled a list of answers to questions we have recently been asked by clients of our two firework shops who have planned large displays in Berkshire.

Generally, how simple is it to stage a display?

There’s a fair bit of work involved in putting on a decent sized display, so we recommend forming a committee to take on different organisational aspects. This is especially important for larger public displays, which certainly involve more work than one person can handle.

Assign a person to handle safety, a person to sort out admission and ticket prices, someone to figure out what type of firework and how many need purchasing, etc. Sharing the work load will help ensure your display goes off without a hitch.

Do I need to inform any particular persons that my display is taking place?

If you’re staging a large fireworks display in Berkshire, it’s essential you inform the fire service, the police and your local authority.

This ensures that if anything unexpected occurs, the right authorities can respond quickly and efficiently. If it’s an especially large display you’re putting on, then the aforementioned authorities may have small units stationed near or on your site to be sure that any potential response time is minimised.

You should also inform any local farmers, stables or kennels that may be near the site you are staging your display on. Animals can often be scared by loud noises, so should be kept inside during firework displays.

Contact our firework suppliers and we can help you figure out who needs to be informed of when and where your display is taking place.

I’m worried that costs might spiral out of control, how can I keep them down?

Some firework shops charge more than others. Our firework suppliers in Reading and Slough bring cheap fireworks to Berkshire without sacrificing quality or safety. If you tell us what your budget is, we can ensure you get the best selection of impressive, cheap fireworks which will entertain your spectators without breaking the bank.

Most firework shops and suppliers recommend that you organise a running order which sees larger, more expensive rockets lighting up the sky at the very start of the display, as well as during its finale. Cheap fireworks make a good filler and a variety should be used to ensure spectators are engaged throughout. A range are available from both our Berkshire firework suppliers in Reading and Slough.

Should I enlist volunteers to help run the event?

Depending on its size. The Department for Business Innovation & Skills recommends that you have one steward in place for every 250 spectators. This ensures you are properly in control of your crowd. You may wish for more, however.

Your team should know what to do in an emergency and be well drilled. Remember, it is essential that spectators not be allowed into your display area. If they do enter it, the display should be stopped immediately.
